Ruth's Chris Offers Relaxed New Lounge Menu in Triangle Area Locations

Casual Choices, Lighter Pricing Launch Today in the "Social Lounge"

Baltimore, Md. – August 10, 2010

Ruth’s Chris Steak House, known for fine dining, classic cocktails and smooth service, is taking a more laid-back approach with the launch of a new “lounge” menu featuring casual dining options and lighter fare in its Triangle area restaurants. While the restaurants remain committed to the high-quality ingredients that made them famous, visitors to the Prime Lounge at Ruth’s Chris can now enjoy menu items such as tenderloin sliders, signature salads and a gourmet BLT.

A newly launched marketing campaign, featuring “Mr. Sizzle,” the Prime Lounge’s social media chair, will offer special dining and drink promotions for the lounge exclusively on Twitter and Facebook.

“We are known as being a destination for special occasions,” says Steve de Castro, founder and president of Big Steaks Management, which operates Ruth’s Chris locations in Maryland, New Jersey and North Carolina. “And we love to celebrate with our customers, but our Prime Lounge shows the ‘other side’ of Ruth’s Chris, a place where guests can enjoy a new menu in a more casual setting – a place where they can relax and have fun.”

Among the new Prime Lounge menu items are:

  • Twisted Buffalo Shrimp
  • Ahi Tuna Salad
  • Prime Burger
  • Maryland Style Crab Cake Sandwich
  • Ruth’s Beef Tenderloin Cheese Steak Sandwich
  • Romano Truffle’d Garlic Fries

In addition to the new menu items, Ruth’s Chris will offer regular promotions during the week. These include:

  • All lounge menu items for $8.99
    Tuesdays & Thursdays from 4pm—8pm
  • Select cocktails, martinis & wine for $5, plus select domestic & imported beer for $3 Sunday—Friday, all night/li>
  • Half-price wines by the glass
    Wednesdays from 4pm—til

The Prime Lounge menu will be available from 4pm on at all Ruth’s Chris Steak House locations operated by Big Steaks Management in the Triangle area, including Cary, Durham and Raleigh.
